Yeah - I think we clocked that too. One of my only big downsides of the weekend was his death as I thought the story between him and several others (including my crew) had so much further to run and so much rolemaplay potential.

Ah well. Nature of the game.

Also, can I point out again how awesome the sheer "So that's it... we're all humped" terror of Saturday night was.

I've got two other LARP systems that really need my attention real soon, but I just can't get fosussed on them as I have a head full of Serenity. That says everything about the event.

4) The conversation on the beach

Everyone: Ohhh. Yeah that's cool
Person 1: Look there's another one there
Me: Actually, no. That's my cigarette butt I just flicked over there

Yeah, that was funny.

I got to see my first glow worm! (for the record, I wasn't person 1... I could tell the difference...)

Also, that beach episode was just funny.

Saying "Cap'n Crowson, we need to do this now." repeatedly to a Tom who was very stoned was HILARIOUS.

Also: "Wait... aren't you.... Princess?"

And constantly being hit on by Cashew while being all my characters was somewhat endearing and made me giggle. A lot.

McSkippys are a whole lot of win to LRP with.

Oh, man. My first ever LARP event and it was all kinds of awesome.

I'd first like to apologise for my dodgy roleplaying. I'm blaming my greenhorn nature, and that's the story I'm sticking to. Razz No, seriously, it was ace, I had an amazing time. Everyone was really friendly and I loved meeting so many new people (usually to die alongside, in a hail of bullets).

Personal highlights:-

- McSkippy's, for their fine catering (still working on the Fruity Oaty bar translation), excellent banter, "bes' food in bla'" and the 'hat shortage',

- Having entirely too much fun corpsing up and painting "Reuben",

- Being Pu-ble. Dressing up in ponchos, drinking heavily, kidnapping pretty ladies and dancing wrecked around someone else's campfire. Best NPCs ever.

- Fun with the Relentless crew. Our employer's impressive rant-off. All joking aside, serious props for that, man. Smile And for the Relentless crew for pulling me out of nettles, patching me up, and just generally being so gorram understanding about being shot at by mercs.

- Night fighting! And trying foolishly to take a guy prisoner while dodging 2 lots of machine-gun fire, being disarmed of one pistol (so I shot back with the other) before being disembowelled by a blue beret who brought swords to a gunfight. Oh, Mr Half-Naked Guy, I never got your name, but many thanks for helping my non-LARP friends out on Sunday. I owe you a drink of some description. Smile

- Lian's pretty black dress. No more needs to be said.

And of course, many thanks to the organisers for putting up with me, the crew for sheltering me as one of them (and sharing booze!) and for the players for being such good sports (and targets). Razz

Shiny good, guys!
