The site...I imagine you guys know already but in case the site owners hadn't notified you:

Does this mean there will be areas of the site off limits or that we have to something odd with our cars to allow visitors in on the Saturday evening?

Oh. This could be interesting

Yep, we are aware of this; the site owners assure us that the bonfire is a relatively small affair in a different area of the site and should not affect the game.
Move along citizen, nothing to see here. The 30ft alien robots of death are for your protection...

Just a quick heads up, the Weather forecast for Manchester says that the lowest temperature at the weekend will be 0 at night, and that we should expect sunshine with a few showers.
However, we have already had two lots of snow this week. Bring gloves and jumpers, it is cold round here

Do you reckon the scouts would mind if we all came and huddled round their bonfire?
Hopefully they've got a decent supply of wood there unlike that last place where we were hacking down trees just to keep warm

That probably depends on whether or not they're adhering to the new laws about wood piles. Wroxotn had to get rid of theirs as it's considered to be a free dupming ground for Industiral Waste as the pallets are classed as industrial waste.
Frankly, it appears to be another ridiculous law but here's hopinh they still have a woodpile since they appear to have a ton of altar fires on all of the camping fields.
Photo of the woodpile is still on the site so let's hope it still exists.
