Thanks All, it was Awesome

Just wanted to extend my thanks to everyone who made this event as good (if not even better) than the last: Refs, crew and players alike.

I haven't had that much fun is ages.

If I could sum up that event in one word it would be absolutelyfabulouslyamazingineveryway. What do you mean that isn't a word?

Thanks to all for making it so great, and so real.

Hello I would like to add my thanks to everyone for being so great, I had a fabulous time NPCing and everyone was so nice. Sorry I had to rush off afterwards so didn't get to say goodbyes Sad Especially to Tiahne who was really sweet Smile
Hope there will be lots of photos, I hardly had time to take any, and hope to see you at another one (if Jon ever lets me crew again?!)
Tobias Rieper

As the first such event i have been to, i have got to say, it was just awesome....i just can't get the picture of Judas going "over the top" out of my head - most impressive, even if a mite suicidal.

Thanks to all for making Serenity such a great game, I'm still relatively new to LARP and to date this was probably the most intense experience yet, certainly the most demanding role I've had.
Sorry that I couldn't stay and froth post game, so many faces I recognised and so little time to catch up.

I think in future I will arm myself with a Polaroid camera Memento style just so I can remember everyone's names ^_^"

Hope to see you soon !

As I posted on Rule7...

"I'll reiterate my mumbled ramblings from Sunday afternoon...

Thankyou to the crew, without your patience and dedication these events simply wouldn't happen.
Thankyou to the ref team, your willingness to endure stress and chaos is appreciated.
Thankyou to the players, your support and enthusiasm make everything worthwhile.
Thankyou to Heather and Rhona, for bailing out us newbs when our previous site fell through and hard work on the set dress.

In addition I'd like to thank everyone who aided in takedown and clear up, and for ensuring the camping areas were tidy."

And some photos people linked too...

I would like to add a few words of thanks, it was obvious that everyone had put in a lot of hard work and it made the whole event quite outstanding.

Roll on the next one.

Huge thanks to one and all for a great game. As I've said elsewhere the quality of role play, costume and props from NPCs and players really made it.

Favourite moments:

1) The breathaliser ref check
2) The surgery (though slightly long)
3) Blue Sun reps accidentally drinking some bad water - and the resultant discussions with the male companion on Karma.
4) Player: "We can use my shuttle, it's got an axe wielding maniac for a pilot but unfortunately the players not here this event."
Ref: "Do you have a phys rep for an axe wielding maniac?"
5) Treating Judas while he was all crazy from drugs/injury (well played that man!)

Coben Dane

My favourite moments as an NPC:

- The look of panic on (insert name here)'s face when he realised he'd inadvertantly asked a Tong representative if she was a prostitute and then compounded that mistake by saying he was just looking for some 'poontang'
- Being surgeried up, and realising I was supposed to have died.
- In the big saturday night fight, watching the rearguard on the player team fall back in terror as a giant hammer-wielding maniac rose up from behind a barricade and batter him around the head.
- In the same:
"And the fist of the Lord shall strike you down like lightning..."
"Talking guy on the ridge, double damage!"
"...and you shall.. oh go-se!"
- And later "Either I've wet myself or I've just been shot in the cock!"
- Winning back most of my crews' monthly wages in a game of Texas Hold 'Em, in the middle of the player camp, without anyone trying to steal the large quantities of platinum being passed around.

Basically it was great Very Happy
