Spacesuits

The refs asked that the crews with spacesuits bring a suitable phys rep. I've only managed to find one place that selling fancy dress spacesuits and they're about £40

What is everyone else doing for these? Are overalls with pads suitable? I just have this feeling that rather than looking like a astronaut, I'll just look like an extra from a B&Q advert

looking at what cropped up in various episodes and the film, i would say a set of overalls would be passable (see Jayne in Serenity on Miranda in a nice yellow set) but then Jubal Early is wearing what I would say were some biker leathers. In the same episode and throughout the series the crew also use a set of suits that look like green overalls with armour plates on the shoulders, knees etc.
As long as it's airtight the physics would work and then its just making it look good (box of metal gubbins for the oxygen tank etc)

but thats just my 2 creds of thought

Certainly at previous events we've used disposable "jump suits" to physrept light weight spacesuits.

The essential thing is to be able to physicaly climb into it and it either needs a hood helmet with something like a dust mask or "respirator" so that it in some way is restrictive and limits what you can carry "in enviroment"

basicly, cover as much of your body as possible Smile
