"This thing working? Damn it Bernard, does anything in this boat still work? It's sending? Alright then.
Anyone listening as needs a job, I've most likely got one for you. Just got me the funding to buy me my own ship, and while she's a beauty, she's in a little need of repair. I'm gettin' ahead o' myself.
Name's Coben Dane, though I suppose that's Captain Coben Dane now. The ship in question is a Humback-class light hauler by name of Santa Fe - same size, speed and handling as a Firefly-class, but seeing as I'll like as not be piloting the thing, the details you really need to know is it's just as reliable as any other ship out there and has nice quarters.
Anyways, position of most importance to be filled is an Engineer - 'til we get ourselves one of those, Santa Fe ain't goin' nowhere and that's a real shame. I'm also goin' to need a deckhand or two, and some other specialities might be nice - if you can navigate your way around the Cortex for instance, you'll be a great help. I'll stick to findin' my way around the Black for now.
Payment is in the form of bed and board, plus an equal share in whatever profits we make, minus expenses and a share put aside for development of the ship of course. At the moment, that means you're looking at a quarter of whatever we make if you sign on with us.
If that seems all good to you, send me a wave and we'll work somethin' out. Either you can get yourself to Beylix by whatever means and we'll reimburse your fare, or you can wait until we've got her fixed up and we'll come fetch you. Hope it don't need explaining that the engineer can't take the second option.

Well, seems I got myself a grease monkey but I can still use some more help. Cortexing skills would be useful if you've got em, but generally I'm lookin' for people as can help around ship and maybe handle a weapon as a bonus. Still offerin' equal share of the profits to anyone as wants the work.
