See, now that's not what my forcast website says...
Fri - freezing at night, sunny and cold in the day
Sat - Same, with more and more cloud as afternoon wears on, with a risk of showers as evening draws in
Sun - Early morning cloudburst and constant light rain for the rest of the day. Oh yeah, and cold.

You are looking for 'Niederschlag' for your rain and 'Temperaturen' for your temperatures.

Similar reports from all sources, at least as far as temp/rain goes.
That's why we're bringing a paraffin heater.
What i'm more interested in is what the wind is going to do. 26mph max on sat is what is forecast. Doesn't sound like much, but that's enough to lift/drop a poorly pegged out tent.

Swap 'risk of showers' for 'risk of moderate snow', 'cloudburst' for 'heavy snow' and 'light rain' for 'light snow', and my forecast was dead on...

Apparently there was a multiple car accident on the M42, but thankfully I missed it. Still took me 5 1/2 hours to get back mind
Hope everyone made it home without any major problems

Finally thawed out - took 6 hours plus to get home, snow, fog and ice, plus M1 hold ups...finally unloaded car at around 11:30...
But, alive - which is what counts!
Hope everyone else defrosted now!
Cheers gang!

It took me and Rhona two and half horus to get to Nottingham, the passenger window was jammed open and we had the novel experiance of a blizzard in a car.
It felt like a lot longer and we'd ahve yet to thaw out.
Poor Ron was snow covered. thank goodness for those extra blankets

Driving home towards Norwich was great fun, four odd hours spent mainly on country roads occasionally punctuated by Andrew swearing at the car ahead/ the car behind/ the world in general, most of the time in snow of one sort or another.

The A53 back to Buxton was pretty close to being whited out - there was hardly any traffic and the road was so covered in snow that half the time I wasn't sure where it was. Took me nearly an hour to drive about 25 miles. On the plus side, booking a hotel room was one of the best decisions I've ever made - having a hot bath at the end of that hour and not getting out until I could feel my fingers and toes again was wonderful
