Nex event...Have been ringing around and attempting to locate a site for an event later this year, so far we have a couple of options available but before I start sending money places and opening booking I need to ascertain one important thing...
If we were to run on the 16th November weekend, would we get players?
This is currently our most reliable date, others having a slight uncertainty, however I need to confirm one way or the other asap.

Bah, cant do that date, but for a very good reason. It will be my baby daughters first birthday and I am not missing that for the 'verse.

I spoke to those most likely to have issues with the cold and although we may loose a couple the Jien Huo can make it.
Hmm we're just going to have to think long and hard about warmth. I know how much other players complained about the cold at the December shindig.

Depending on whether or not i can get transport, i/we will be bringing a rather large dome tent (slightly larger footprint than the casino had!) decked out as some kind of lounge, with a view to having an oil stove inside for the evenings. IF i can get this squared away, anyone who wants can bed down in there of a night - if it gets too cold, i ceretainly will be. Of course, as i said, this all depends on transport.......

.......or not. On Rule 7 you said we are going to barnswood jon - is this confirmed? if so, great - it aint too far from home, so transporting kit wont be an issue!

Should be fine with us, am on another event weekend of 9 - 11, but weekend after good - so count us in for 16th Nov (as Heath said, may loose couple, but main bulk Jien Huo should be there!)

Definately a firepit consideration - and a wet consideration if raining too - always an issue at the end of the year.

Forgive my inquisitive nature and i'm fairly sure you may not know the answers just yet as it's early days but...
The site in Leek (certainly one of my favourite lrps sites) is a good deal larger and more expensive than those used in the past for serenity.
Whereas I certainly have no problems with bigger sites (especially ones of this calibre) Does this mean that ticket prices will go up or you'll open the game up to more people in order to keep ticket prices stable? Then again it is the middle of novemember and maybe you can get a sizeable discount as a result. Who know's? actually who cares? more Serenity WOOOOOOO.
