I find myself with a slot in October, due to artificer being posponed & would like a bit of construtive feedback on serenity events. I have lrp'd for quite some time, watched all the firefly stuff far to many times & an NOT a power gamers, this is a hobby for me, escape time, so bring it onnnnnnnnnnnnn Very Happy

I've only been to the last event, but found it absolutely wonderful. Small (there were <100 people) but friendly, high levels of immersion. Basically, I spent a weekend on St Albans. Never felt like I wasn't actually there.
It was also a damn good party, bar the weather. There was an ugly contest, a big dragon dance, frog racing, lots of drinking and reeling, it was a gorram fine shindig.

The only complaint I've heard is that some of my crew were a bit bored. We didn't do any of the off-site missions, so spent a fair bit of time just sitting around chatting to folks.
On the other hand, as this event is happening at the same time as the events of Serenity, I don't imagine people will find themselves bored!

I was new at the last one too, along with XavierYu - yeah, we didn't get off site but I waved my stick a lot, brought out the wild man, tried to pull a girl miles out of my league, did something really stupid and ate like a... well... something.

I found the game really immersive, and the atmosphere great - it felt liek we were part of the 'verse, wthout trying to be a part of the tv/film Serenity crew.

Also Osgar123 - there's quite a few other Artificer crew & players planning on going to Serenity, so you'll be in good company (well, we are all set to go to Middlewood that weekend anyway...)
