Hey there,
I'm starting to build some physreps over the next week or so. Do people already have any ideas of things like "Bulletin flexi", "System bypass tools" and so on, that are already in use. It would be nice to be able to make something up that people could look at, and think "ah....one of *those*" rather than... "Random technological tat."
Photos would be great.

System bypass tools..hmm
as in real life (and as per the rules) this could be anything!
As an example, last time out i brought one of my old phone phreak "boxes" to use as a physrep. (although it never actually got used).
Basically, a plastic electronic projects box sporting several leds and switches, with attached wiring/croc clips.
looked similar to this, but with croc clips not plugs:

Conversely, you could have a bare circuit board, with flashy lights and lots of insulation tape, such as:

Basically, so long as you have an obvious interface (be it plugs/wires/etc) and something that looks right (small grey box/bare circuit board) to which it all attaches, then you should be ok. _________________ Tobias Rieper - The Vital Spark

We've been using acetate (as used for overhead projectors) as a bulletin flexi type idea. _________________ "I aim to misbehave..." |

Also...what is the system with credits / physreps?
Acetate was how I was going to go with the bulletin flexi. _________________ Ben Su Tiao - Chang'E - 嫦娥 |

Technically issued by Andrew and Gerwyn, I'm not allowed near databases and laminators. _________________ "I aim to misbehave..." |

Well, if you ask me, system bypass tools look like this, while lockpicks look like this. _________________ I don't mean to pry, it just happens |

Well, yes you could go that route, but they do cost £££ each, whereas my version only costs time and an old telly remote/PS1 cheat cartridge/whatever else you want to use.
That said, they do look pretty good - "doc vexian" uses one as a medical prop!
