Hallo all

Some of you might know us as the Jade Lotus from Maelstrom. As expected (and utterly appropriate in the Serenity universe) we'll be offering largely lots of yummy Chinese food at this event, along with breakfast, coffee and interesting Chinese-y teas.

We haven't settled on the final menu yet, but rest assured there will be a vegetarian option at every meal, and most of the food will be gluten-free. Any other special diets, please let Jon know on the booking form to pass along to us.

Meal tickets available to buy both whilst booking and at the event, but you can buy meals separately. This will work out more expensive, naturally.

So we'll be doing a hot Chinese meal Friday night, breakfast (involving pancakes and bacon) Saturday and Sunday, and more hot Chinese food Saturday lunch and dinner.

We will be catering entirely IC as McSkippy's. Intruders to the kitchen likely to be shot at. Don't ask us about no 'roo burgers. Other questions welcome.

Meg

Um, will there still be kitchen space available still for those wanting to cook their own food IC? Never been to this site, so don't know!

Though I'm liking the idea of having to negotiate with McSkippy's IC to use their kitchen, there might be some OOC wrinkles to iron out first.

Sorry, but can't think of a way that would work really. Not only are we going to be cooking pretty much all the time, for about 65 people, but we have real strict hygiene and general kitchen rules.

Tbh, have never been to an event where players are allowed in the kitchen anyway!

Glad I asked then!

Jon/anyone else - is there somewhere else for people to cook on the site?

Unfortunetly there is only one kitchen on site which is located in the crew hut by the OOC parking area.

Right. OK, cheers for the info - will pass that on to the Gunshark powers-that-be!

Guess I'll be cooking on the little gas stove then...  No offense intended to the caterers, but I enjoy cooking for myself Smile

Just noticed a question someone posted up on another thread about the Friday meal - we're thinking of doing this pretty late so as to catch everyone, possibly about 9 or so. We'll also have apring rolls and snacks to keep your early lot going until then.

Another possibility would be doing the meal earlier and then reheating a bunch of it (v easy with woks and Chinese) for the latecomers. Let me know what you think.

PS Jenny no offence taken, we'll just waft delicious smells in your direction in pique Wink
