Yeah, seeing as I'm home and my computer's on, thought I'd check in and say "Wooo, that was everything I'd hoped for!" as follows:
Wooo, that was everything I'd hoped for!
So much panic, so little reavers... thank G-d. And a special thanks to those who laid down their lives in (indirect) defence of mine.

Hubby (player of Sponge) appears to have switched mine on too. That's handy!
I'm not sure I could have enjoyed myself much more. Always a pleasure to interact with the players and the rest of the crew. I wondered how we could top reavers at my first event but... it did.
I'd do special thanks but I'm sure I'd miss something or someone out. My brain's just full of post-event-inner-froth-mush at the mo!

I suppose I should start by saying, I am extremely sorry for my far too drunked shenanigans on Friday night. I assure you, that will NOT be happening again.
I think I meay need to spologise for that for a long time! I feel rather ashamed!
However, that aside, I had a really good event (as always) so thanks all, and you monsters were super kick ass as always!!

Stunning event - simply stunning. Can't remember being as scared at a LARP event as I was during Saturday night's mayhem.
Huge thanks to all concerned on both sides of the curtain.

That was great fun. I hadn't crewed for years after a bad experience crewing, but crewing Serenity was made of awesome!
Saturday night's scrap was great fun, even if I did get sand where sand does NOT belong, and nettle rash on my stomach...
And McSkippy's - lovely lovely grub, thank you!
Best moments that stick in my mind;
"Skippy. Bes foo ina bla!"
"If you shine that light again ah swear ah will end you mah own self. Jimmy? Jimmy! Get up. They killed Jimmy! Bastards!"
"Is this your space vehicle sir?"
The sheer class demonstrated by the Tiger Lily in the bar with the crew.
Worst part was getting a ticket on my way to Tesco's on Saturday morning cos I didnt notice the no right turn sign. _________________ Ophelia, third mook on the left, second mook on the right, and whatever else needs doing...

Thanks folks. That had to be the best event i've ever done (and i know i'm repeating myself hoarse on that one)
Thanks for the refs for giving me so much rope to (not) hang myself with with my NPC roles, and the players for making NPCing for you guys such a pleasure
Never before have i been burned, shot point black in the head and guned down with such awesomeness.

That was truely, truely, truely, an awesome experiance.
Of awesomeness.
The crew were excelent, and must have been run ragged. My hats off to them. The refs equally so.
Favourite Moments :
"I AM A DEMOLITON GOD!" : Ahhh, hubris before the fall indeed. .
*DAKA DAKA DAKA*, "You all saw her shot right? Now someone bury the bitch."
My drunken confession to the Padre.
THe surprise re-concilliation with McSkippies. (I really did not see that coming)
Getting all black ops up, and creeping in to the wrong landing zone, to sabotage a ship that wasn't there. Last time I hire mercs to do a soldiers job
The very, very tense standoff with Jenny Scott that nearly had me shooting her. Again.
Going out in style, all guns blazing.
This is James Vaughan, 3rd Company, Alliance Special Forces.
Signing off. _________________ _______________________________________

I loved this event so much! It was made of awesome.
A huge massive thank you to all of the refs, crew and players who made it so darn shiny
My favourite bits:
"That plan is suicidal. I mean, there's 'crazy but it might just work', and then theres 'crazy' and then there's 'take it to the gorram bughouse'"
"You come with us." "I don't think so..." Stupid Pu-blay making me spill my drink
"Is the war over yet? Should I come back later?"
The Screaming match with Quint. In which I told a preacher to go to hell...
The standoff with Vaughan, as mentioned above.
Princess 'doing a hanfling' shortly afterwards.
A counterattack that consisted of a mechanic and a historian, both wounded.
The Funerals. Well done the Shepherd
One last revolting mission with the Skippys and by no means the first kill with someone else's gun _________________ These ain't honeyed words, they're bitter truths. |

Yeah the event totally rocked. I thoroughly enjoyed myself as the Shepherd - and to think I was going to retire the Character.
For me the role play with Vaughn on Friday was great...and then the Sherriff trying to mix it, standing nose to navel s houting at him. heheh.
Sunday's incident with the bomb happy Mayor of whereever was blindingly realistic... and just so awesome. |

Noooo... don't do that. The Shepherd is awesome!
One of my favourite bits of the weekend was my little er.. sulk at Shaw and your involvement. Thanks for that. _________________ Serenity Crew (aka "TNT" / Ms Wong of the Border Worlds Consortium)

This event was, as has been said before, SO awesome!
All the players were ace!
I have never had so much fun LRPing as I've had crewing Serenity (granted, I'm still a very new newbie at this LRP business...)
I loved being:
- A petulant Zionist girl who refused outright to wear dresses.
- Kidnapped by the Puble! That was super awesome (Thanks McSkippy, my heros!)
- All kinds of Browncoat/ soldier (can't distinguish them all now...) in short shorts and funky military perlar. ("TNT, why did ye let them take yer guns off'f ya?!?!")
- Puble, and shot very quickly as we [unsuccessfully] tried to kidnap Katy Bacon, AKA The Damn Slippery Snake ("She has how many breaks?!")
- SHOOTING PEOPLE IN THE DARK!!!
- Sinlan Lee the stuck up little rich douchebag who was buying up everything with her daddy's money, and generally being a complete bitch (in a killer dress and top hat).
("No, darling, we'll be fine walking on our own"... [Very nonchalantly, as James (as Puble) is shot and lands literally by my feet] "Oh, look darling, it's one of those crazies!")
I had such a good time!
Bring on the next one!
Lian

At last, i'm back on the boards after more than a year!!!
Thank you too everyone who made my first event so awesome, you all added something too the experiance.
Special mention goes to
-the refs for organising the whole thing, and the crew that supported them. You managed to play lots of different roles and make each of them unique, therefore not ruining the level of emersion.
-our world famous racing buddy, for attracting the ladies to our camp.
-the puble on saturday night. You will be missed my friends.
Once again, thank you to everyone, i think we all agree the drive was well worth it.
I'm already itching for the next event, and if i cook i promise to make you laugh with my culinary skills once more.
chris/Captain Erik Sheefe, of the tiger lily trading company.
P.S. Normally my larp characters end up being alcoholic womanisers, so i need to put that across more next time around. Just a warning to y'all!!! _________________ you ask about my conscience, and i offer you my soul. you ask if i'll grow to be a wise man, well i ask if i'll grow old. |

Jus' to echo the general sentiment of 'whoo-hoo!', that was a gorram fine event. Thankyou all for making it so good.
In particular, thanks for all the refs and crew for keeping us so busy- there seemed like a really good amount of plot and action to go around.
Some really good and atmospheric character among both the PCs and NPCs as well- made it really immersive. Also terrifying. Never underestimate the value of the terrifying.
Plus... best food inna black. |

Have to say that I had a fab time too. Was really great playing with you lot (PC and NPC's alike). It's really good to find a game that just has consistently high quality players, monsters and plot
Best bits
1) Spending more time with the McSkippy's lot. We didnt really see you at the game before much. Was also fun to hear you all speaking in non-Aussie accents afterward.s Food was great too
2) Twigging who a certain someone was. Won't say who it was but they know who they are
3) Finally solving the heart mystery
4) The conversation on the beach
Person 1: Oh look theres a glow-worm
Everyone: Ohhh. Yeah that's cool
Person 1: Look there's another one there
Me: Actually, no. That's my cigarette butt I just flicked over there
5) The Saturday night shoot-out. Knowing that I cant do much is bad enough, but knowing that I can't do much and can't see anything made the whole thing really quite atmospheric. Realising that we were getting our asses kicked, and that all bar one of our Medics was bleeding to death on the floor kinda upped the ante too
6) Realising that Vaughn wasn't really a dick. He was just a man who was trying too hard to impress the wrong people. In the end he turned out to be a good 'un.
7) Going into the hut and finding people sitting quietly. Then going outside and seeing the Pouble partying, drinking, dancing and getting wrecked. At that point I knew that Captain Tom had found what he was looking for. Was also fun playing being wrecked for the next hour or so
Bad bits
None really. Having my tyre blow out on the M4 on the way home wasn't so much fun. Then once the AA turned up and fixed the wheel realising that I had to do the 200 miles home at 50mph wasnt great either
The firefight was good though it was really, really confusing. Think the new combat rules are much better, but its really difficult to play out when it is pitch dark. Was still fun though
Overall, a really really good game, and leaves me still content that Jon, Andrew, Gerwyn, Sam, Robin and the rest of the team have made some thing really quite special
