Currently looking at sites for event 2 given we've had to rethink our original plans. Before I follow these up any further I thought it best to check with everyone regarding travel and incase anyone has experience of these sites and can advise for or against.

I vote (based purely on location) on the one just above London.

There doesn't seem to be that much site-specific detail (in terms of what buildings, etc. they have) on the second two. Am I being blind?

I would usually be pointing at the site near London too - however it looks pretty small to me

Another thought occurs.

Airsoft sites often have extensive ruined buildings we can run around in...
Fairly sure Spectre does, if it's the site i think it is.

I'd triple check accomadation at any of the air soft sites, As handy as phoenix is for me I'm not sure how great the amenities are.

Just had a heads up that Phoenix is actually pretty good, and not too far to carry at the feyu.

when's about were you thinking of holding it?

As much as I would like to use Pheonix just down the road, I would prefer the Hereford Site because I doubt the others have facilities to match.

London doesn't exist, it's just a made up story to scare naughty children.

I vote Hereford

The problem with the London site is that it's tiny. 4 acres of woodland is a couple of large fields covered in trees. We'd be better off going to Cuffley Camp if you want somewhere near to London.

(And I'm not really suggesting Cuffley - it's a good site, but it's been overused for LRP in the last 10 years. And it has a tiny car park.

Fort Widley in Portsmouth...

It's colossal and has tunnels.

Down side is that it's near Portsmouth...

So Nottingham is pretty much out then. I've contacted a few other sites now and am waiting to hear back regarding availibility.

As long as the sites have good facilities, they're all okay - depends on how much ground coverage you want too - though gotta admit london is nearer to us - but will travel ANYWHERE for it.

Any ideas for dates as of yet?

Very Happy

nice aminities and by that I mean working loos are about all I really want from a site. Mind you I am not a fan of Cuffley, it's suitable for fests but not for something as interactive or immersive as Serenity.

Well End is unfortunetly fully booked, looking into hiring Felden Lodge in Herefordshire and into a few youth hostels, however everywhere seems to be booked or closed for refurbishment.

If people are willing to travel I'll try and see if Pheonix way Nottingham can accomadate us, trying to find a place to run a Core planet/urban game.

Dates wise aiming for end of October to give me time to get my lesson plans written as well as organising props and the like.

Cool stuff.
To be honest, for Serenity I'd be willing to travel.

And the sooner you can get dates, the sooner I can request leave form work Very Happy

I'm willing to go as far as it takes to get to the next event. As long as it doesn't involve going through Milton Keynes again.
